Call the front desk.
Nobody’s there.
Lilac & Laurel Aesthetics is a made-up medspa in Pittsford. Its phone is answered by Marin, an AI receptionist we built in an afternoon. Call her from your own phone, pretend you’re a client, and try to book something.
Go on, call her →
(585) 639-2062Real number. Real call. She picks up on the first ring, any hour.- 01Call
Ask for a HydraFacial, or say you’re new and don’t know what you want. Interrupt her. Change your mind.
- 02Hang up
She’ll have your name, a callback number, what you’re after, and a time on the calendar.
- 03Watch the owner’s phone
Within seconds, the intake lands as a notification. That part is the whole point.
Everything Marin knows fits on this page.
She isn’t searching the internet or guessing. She was handed about seven hundred words about one business, and that’s the whole of what she knows. Ask her about Sculptra and she’ll tell you, kindly, that they don’t offer it, because nobody told her they do. Your version would get your menu, your hours, your rules.

What she will never do, no matter how you ask: give medical advice, quote an exact total, take a card number, invent a service or a staff member, or book Dr. Calloway on a Monday. If you describe pain or swelling after a treatment, she stops booking, takes your number, and flags it urgent for a same-day callback.
Try to stump her.
The interesting part of an AI front desk isn’t the easy call. It’s the edges.
She doesn’t know what that is, and she’ll say so instead of bluffing, then point you at a free consult.
Say it once. She shouldn’t ask you again whether you’ve been in before.
Closed. She’ll offer the nearest real opening instead.
She drops the sales script entirely and gets the doctor to call you back.
She’ll tell you the truth and keep going.
Interrupt mid-sentence. She stops and listens, most of the time.
This is what the owner sees.
Not a voicemail to listen to later. A card, on their phone, before you’ve put yours away, plus the booking on the calendar and a written record of the call.
Jordan Reyes, a new client, called to book a HydraFacial and asked about downtime. Booked for Thursday morning.
The card for a call she couldn’t finish looks different on purpose: “Requested, not on calendar yet” rather than a false “Booked.” An owner should never have to double-check the machine.
